Yarqan is the old Unani word for jaundice, and the hakeems of the subcontinent built a whole family of formulas around it — bitter, cooling herbs meant to lighten the liver’s load while the body does its own work. Laraib’s Shifa-e-Yarqan follows that tradition, made as a supportive syrup for people already under a doctor’s care.
What it is traditionally used for
- Traditional support during yarqan, the classical term for jaundice
- Supporting normal liver function during and after illness
- Helping the appetite return when it has fallen away
- Easing the heaviness and sluggish digestion that follow a liver complaint
- Supporting strength and stamina through a slow convalescence
How it is made
The herbs are cleaned, graded and slow-decocted in stages, the more delicate leaf material added late so its character survives the heat. The strained liquor is reduced to a syrup at low temperature. Every botanical is single-origin and identity-checked on arrival, and nothing artificial — no synthetic colour, flavour or preservative — goes into the bottle.
How to take it
Adults take two teaspoons three times a day, after meals, with a little water. Children over ten take one teaspoon twice daily. Take it consistently rather than occasionally — traditional liver formulas are judged over weeks, not days — and keep drinking plenty of water alongside it.

Ordered from Dera Ghazi Khan and it arrived in four days, well packed. I take two spoons after meals as directed. Digestion is steadier and I am not dragging myself through the afternoon any more.

Bitter, as you would expect from a liver formula, and my husband complains every time. But he has kept taking it for a month now and says the heaviness after meals has definitely lifted. Honest product.

My uncle in Sahiwal was flat on his back for three weeks and could not look at food. His hakeem put him on this alongside the hospital medicines. Appetite came back first, then the energy. He finished two bottles.
