Where a purgative empties, a moistening laxative restores. Lozeen belongs to the second kind. Psyllium and raisin soften and bulk, a measured amount of senna leaf gives just enough movement, and fennel keeps the whole thing from griping. It is the bottle Laraib recommends for people who want to get regular again rather than get through one bad night.
What it is traditionally used for
- Traditionally taken to relieve constipation and hard, difficult motions
- Used to remove the dryness of the intestines described in Unani texts
- Long taken to restore a comfortable daily bowel rhythm
- Chosen where harsher purgatives have caused cramping
- Taken during periods of low fibre, travel or reduced activity
How it is made
Raisins are simmered to a soft pulp, psyllium is bloomed separately so it hydrates evenly, and a briefly drawn senna infusion is blended in last to keep its action mild. The syrup is reduced slowly, strained and bottled at our Multan plant. Single-origin herbs and fruit, with nothing artificial added.
How to take it
Adults take two to three teaspoons at night with a full glass of warm water; children over five take one teaspoon. Because it works by drawing water into the gut, the glass of water matters as much as the dose. Take it for a few nights, then taper as things settle.
Good to know
- 120 ml bottle, about ten nights at the usual adult dose
- 100% natural Unani medicine, made under DRAP enterprise licence in Multan
- Free from artificial colour, flavour and synthetic stimulants
- Refrigerate after opening and always take with plenty of water

Bought this after a harsh churan from the market left me in pain for a day. Lozeen is completely different, slow and comfortable. My husband has started taking it as well.

I drive long routes out of Quetta and sitting all day wrecks my digestion. A spoon at night with plenty of water and I am fine on the road. No sudden urgency, which matters in my job.

Gentler than I expected, which suits me. It is not an overnight miracle, more like three or four days before things settle into a routine. The taste is mild and slightly rosy.
