Enteric fever leaves a person hollowed out long after the temperature has settled — weeks of no appetite, no strength and an unsettled gut. Typhorex belongs to the Unani tradition of tap formulas made for exactly that stretch: cooling, gently astringent herbs given during the fever and through the slow recovery that follows. It supports proper medical treatment; it does not replace it.
What it is traditionally used for
- Traditional support during tap-e-mohriqa, the classical term for enteric or typhoid fever
- Supportive use during measles and chickenpox, alongside a doctor’s care
- Easing the dysentery and loose motions that often follow such fevers
- Soothing the burning and inflammation felt in the bladder after fever
- Lifting the debility, weakness and exhaustion left behind once the fever breaks
- Supporting appetite and strength through a slow convalescence
How it is made
Cooling and astringent herbs are cleaned, graded and slow-decocted in stages, with the aromatic material added late so its character is not lost to prolonged heat. The strained liquor is reduced at low temperature into a syrup. Every botanical is single-origin and identity-checked on arrival, and nothing artificial is added — no colour, flavour or preservative.
How to take it
Adults take two teaspoons three times a day; children over five, one teaspoon three times a day. Take it after food with a little water. Continue for two to three weeks after the fever has settled, since the recovery period is where this formula does most of its work. Keep fluids up throughout.

Our family hakeem has recommended this for years and we keep a bottle at home through the summer. Arrived properly sealed with the batch and expiry clearly printed. Good, honest medicine at a fair price.

Helpful during my daughter’s chickenpox in Chiniot, mainly for the upset stomach and the tiredness. Taste is fairly bitter and she needed water straight after each dose. Sixty millilitres goes fast at three doses a day.

Used it through my own recovery after enteric fever. The exhaustion afterwards is the worst part and this did seem to shorten it. Small bottle, so order two if you plan to continue for a few weeks as advised.

My son had typhoid in June and was on antibiotics from the hospital in Okara. The doctor allowed this alongside. What it helped with was afterwards — he was eating again within ten days instead of the month we expected.
