In Unani thinking the liver is not one organ among many — it is the seat from which blood, digestion and temperament all take their character. Sharbat Denar is Laraib’s answer to a liver working under strain: a compound of traditional hepatic herbs, prepared to the Pakistan Tibbi Pharmacopoeia and taken steadily rather than in a rush, the way liver work has always been done.
What it is traditionally used for
- Taken to relieve swelling and inflammation of the liver
- Long given to ease pain felt in the region of the liver
- Used to clear constipation and move a sluggish bowel
- Regarded as beneficial through seasonal fevers
- Taken to give strength and tone to a tired liver
- Traditionally used where swelling settles in the hands and feet
How it is made
The hepatic herbs are sourced single-origin, cleaned and drawn out as a long slow decoction so the bitter and aperient principles pass fully into the liquid. The extract is filtered, sweetened and reduced under pharmacopoeial control until it holds its body. Nothing artificial is added — no colour, no flavouring and no chemical preservative.
How to take it
Take 2 tablespoons, about 30 ml, in half a glass of water, twice a day — morning on an empty stomach and again at night. Liver work rewards patience, so give it three to four weeks steadily rather than expecting an overnight change, and keep your diet light and low in fried food while you do.

Took it through a stretch of seasonal fever in Sargodha on my hakeem’s advice. Recovery felt cleaner than usual and my digestion did not collapse the way it normally does after fever.

Recommended by my uncle who has used Laraib products since the nineties. The swelling in my ankles after long shifts has genuinely reduced over a month. Taste is old-fashioned in a good way.

Good syrup and I trust the brand. Bitter enough that I take it with a bit more water than suggested. Delivery to Mardan took six days, which was longer than the site indicated, but it arrived intact.

I bought it mainly for the constipation, which had been going on for months. Two spoons at night and things have been regular since the first week. Did not expect it to work that plainly.

My father has been on this for six weeks in Multan alongside what his doctor prescribed. The heaviness he used to feel on his right side after meals has eased and his appetite is back. We are on the second bottle.
