Tukhm-e-Kahu is the quiet workhorse of Unani head medicine — cooler than kaddu to some tastes, and softer on a scalp that has gone dry and tight. How it is made
Single-origin lettuce seed is cleaned, crushed and cooked with a fresh lettuce extract into cold-pressed sesame oil, held at a low temperature until the water fraction has gone entirely and only the medicated oil is left. It is then double-filtered to a clear, light body and bottled in Multan. No mineral oil, no synthetic fragrance, nothing artificial added.
How to take it
Massage a teaspoon into the scalp with slow fingertip pressure for five minutes before bed, and leave it in overnight. Nightly through the hot months, or three times a week the rest of the year. Because it is light it can also be smoothed over the forehead and temples on its own when a heat headache is starting.
