Badam has never been thought of as merely a nut in the Unani reckoning — it is a nourisher of the a’za-e-raeesa, the vital organs, and above all of the mind. Laraib blanches, skins and grinds whole almonds to a fine paste before drawing them into syrup, which is why this bottle pours thick and pale rather than thin and perfumed like the imitations.

How it is made
Single-origin almonds are soaked overnight, hand-skinned and stone-ground into a smooth paste, then drawn slowly into a light sugar syrup at low heat so the oils emulsify instead of separating. The result is strained fine and bottled. Nothing artificial is added — no almond essence, no whitener, no preservative.
How to take it
Stir 2 tablespoons, about 30 ml, into a glass of chilled milk; water works, but milk is how this one is meant to be drunk. Once or twice a day, ideally in the morning or an hour before bed. Shake the bottle well before pouring, as natural separation is expected.
